TIU Global Dialogue #3: The COVID-19 Pandemic and the Economy: Discussion Panel with Three TIU Economists

Start

End

The Covid-19 pandemic likely represents the largest shock to hit the global economy since the end of WWII. While some of the negative effects of the pandemic have been mitigated by aggressive government stimulus (including extensive monetary stimulus of numerous central banks around the world), estimates of the extent of declines in economic activity suggest its impact may be greater than, and perhaps as long lasting as the great depression.
