Ahmed Rahmy, PhD

Professor

Ahmed Rahmy is a Professor at Tokyo International University (TIU) in Japan. Before joining the faculty at TIU, he taught at Cairo University in the Faculty of Arts and Kurume University at the Institute of Comparative Studies of International Cultures and Societies. He received his PhD in Japanese Literature from Chukyo University, his master’s degree in Japanese Culture from Osaka University for Foreign Studies, and his bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language and Literature from Cairo University. Professor Rahmy has published widely on Japanese literature and Islamic studies, and has recently published an article on the History of Communications between Asian Arab countries and Japan. He has also published numerous translations of Japanese literature to Arabic languages.
