Tokyo International University graduate student Tran Nguyen Quan participated in this year’s Asia Pacific Roundtable (APR), one of the largest track II dialogues on regional affairs, held on August 7-10 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Quan joined as part of the Pacific Forum’s Young Leaders Program delegation, selected from a pool of the most promising next-generation experts and thought leaders from across the Indo-Pacific.
At TIU, Quan is conducting research on U.S.-Vietnam security relations and serves as a research assistant for Professor Ordaniel’s Asia Maritime Index.
“Both my TIU undergraduate and graduate education have helped me pursue and deepen my research interest in Vietnam’s foreign policy, particularly on maritime security and force modernization/arms acquisitions. I am grateful for the support of my Professors and the feedback from my classmates at TIU. They have always been helpful in my research efforts.” – QuanQuan at the Asia-Pacific Roundtable
