On Wednesday, May 17, students in Profesor Ordaniel’s classes had a field trip to Yokosuka – home to the largest United States Navy facility in Japan – and listened to an insightful lecture on the history of the famous Mikasa battleship by Captain Greg Kouta.
The students had the chance to tour the Yokosuka Naval Port, the Mikasa Battleship Memorial Museum, and the Yokosuka Port Market before concluding the excursion.
